What’s the job all about?
The Field Tech position at McNamara Pump & Electric serves as a front-line position responsible for the actual completion of the work required. You will be tasked with cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pumps serviced and installed by McNamara. This position works directly with the Service Manager and Field Supervisor to ensure the standards McNamara is known for are upheld for all levels of service including Standard scheduled services, new contracts, and emergency calls. This position is for a team player who can engage the needs of their supervisor with meticulous attention to detail and a customer-obsessed level of service.

What are the details?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with Sch 40 PVC and ABS pipe
- General knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical codes
- Connecting power to equipment and tools
- Inspection of pump stations and control panels
- Plumping stormwater and sewer pump stations
- Performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting faulty electrical components
- Troubleshooting control panels, pumps, and motors
- Stock and maintain the cleanliness of trucks as required
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License
Education
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
Experience
- Electrical and/or Plumbing: 1+ years preferred
